The State Hermitage Museum is keen on keeping friendship with the «brands», notably jewellery ones. Our collection of jewellery is rich, beautiful, informative and unfailingly eye-catching for artists. Wonderful idea to start a dialogue between these historical rarities and Cartier masterpieces rooted in tradition. It entered into a conversation between the Mughal jewellery, on the one hand, and Indian-style necklaces and pendants, on the other; the crystal lamp and the transparent clock and jewellery with diamonds.
This interaction grew into a concord of different epochs and multifarious traditions and tastes, each one notable for its elegant virtues. This fusion is in line with the Hermitage spirit. All of this creates a marvellous and optimistic concert, a gallant ballet that is always fitting.
